Barry Bonds was indeed a great baseball player. Until he abused steroids. Barry Bonds was drafted into the major leagues in 1986 by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Barry in the beginning of the his years was a good player showing very good numbers by showing average and a little power. Then towards the middle of his career he was showing unreal power numbers that was on pace to beat Hank Aaron's home run record. This was a bit of a shock realizing bonds passed numbers were not exactly power numbers. Anyways toward the middle of his years in the majors he would put up numbers in the 50's,60's,and even the 70's. The board came to the conclusion that Bonds was currently using steroids. They caught him during one season but Bond's would keep denying his use of the drug so he could keep playing season after season. This was a scandal because I don't believe Bonds deserves the home run record. It belongs to Hank Aaron.
